Gender Discrimination Claim and No Promotion Form Basis for Court Case
An employee at Agency for International Development claimed she was passed over for promotion to a GS-14 position as a result of gender discrimination and retaliation, among other claims. USAID claimed that its selection was based on interview performance and that the selectees interview performance was superior. The D.C. Circuit says she can now proceed with her case.

In a recent report, the CBO identifies 105 options to reduce the deficit including spending cuts to mandatory and discretionary programs, as well as tax increases. Among the ideas proposed include a cap on federal civilian pay raises.
