So I am loading in external swfs and once loaded in I want to stop the main timeline. so I do the following. var swf : MovieClip=e.target.content ; swf.stop(); which doesn't work, because I have trace statements in the external swf which fire off after that command is called. hi all, i'm in the middle of making an app which will have to be running for extended periods of time so i need to make sure it is stable etc. i'm looking for advice on the housekeeping side of things in AS3. e.g. making sure that variables, classes, objects etc are cleaned up when they are no longer needed so that the cpu and memory usage stays stable and that over extended periods of time... Is there some error in creating Slideshow?

I'm currently putting together a website using Flash CS4 action script 2.0. On one of my pages I have a flv video that when played from my computer works but after I have it loaded to the site it doesn't seem to load or anything it's just blank where the movie should be. Any thoughts on why it would work when testing the swf but not once loaded to the web?? HEX to RGB
