Enhancing the Campaign Through an Executive Order
The White House has drafted an executive order to create a donor disclosure requirement for companies seeking federal contracts. It would require applicants to disclose any political donations exceeding $5,000 by the corporation or its executives, often Republican supporters. Perhaps it was an oversight but it would not apply to recipients of federal grants or to federal employee unions, often Democratic supporters.
